Product Coding

The first column of the coding is shown by (A) which is related to size of the products. “A” is shown as mosaic1.7×1.7, “B” as mosaic 2.5×5, “C” as mosaic 2.5×2.5, “D” as mosaic 5.0×5.0, “F” as mosaic 7.5×7.5, “S” as mosaic hexagonal with the diameter 3.3 cm, “T” as mosaic 10×10, “K” as mosaic 15×15, “R” as the mosaic 20×20, “I” as mosaic 25×25, “L” as mosaic 15×45, “O” as mosaic 30×30, “N” as mosaic 20×50, “V” as the mosaic 30×60, and “M” as mosaic 45×45 cm ceramic tile. The second column is shown by letter (B) is related to the type of glaze used to cover the surface of mosaic and ceramic tile.

“M” is the abbreviation of Matt, “G” of Glossy, “S” of Snowy, “F” of Flooring, and “A” of Anti-slip glazed types. The third column shown by (C) indicates whether or not any changes are made on the surface of each type of tiles.

In case there is an extra cut (curve) on the surface of tiles, it has been tried to show the type of the cut by a capital English letter which is similar to it. For example, letter “N” indicates an extra cut from one corner to the other, so it can be divided into two triangle pieces. Letter “X” indicates a double extra cut from each corner to the other ones, so a tile can be divided into four triangle pieces. Letter “H” indicates a straight left to right cut on the center of tile, so it can be divided into two pieces.

If there is no trace of any kind of cuts or curves on the surface, it is shown as “A”.

The fourth and fifth columns are shown by (D) which are related to the type of design or effect made on the mold to make it different. It can be simple or rustic type and is shown by a double digit from 01 to 99.

Number 01 represents a mold with no changes. Matt or glossy glazes with the plain surface are classified into two groups. The first group with matt glaze is introduced as Accord and the second group with glossy glaze as Harmony.

The range of colors applied on Accord and Harmony exceed 45 based colors. Number 02 represents molds with rough curves on the surface and is known as Rocky. Like Accord and Harmony, the range of applied colors exceeds 45 from white to black in matt and glossy glazes.

Number 03 represents the first soft rustic type which Alborz produced. There you may find some small holes on the surface and the edges are still unchanged. It is known as a mountain and distributed to the market by color BRN 3.

Number 04 represents the mountain design with some changes on the edges. This type presented to the market in two formats. The one with matt or glossy glaze without any printing on the top is introduced as Rainbow and the one with matt glaze and a print on the top as Arian. There are 7 colors of Rainbow and 4 colors of Arian available in the market.

Number 05 is named Rush due to its resemblance to a kind of wood with the same name. It can be presented both with matt or glossy glaze in 45 colors.

Number 06 is introduced as Epigraph. It is a kind of rustic type and available in two colors.

Number 07 is named Mani.

Number 08 presented to the market as Wave. There are six printed colors of this type available.

Number 09 is named Atlasi. This type is the newly irregular type with non-straight angles.

As you see, it is possible to represent almost 100 different types of a mold with this category. The coming new designs can be introduced from 10 to

99.

The sixth and seventh columns are related to the printing type applied on the surface of tiles.

If a no. shows 00, it means there is no printing applied on the top of the tile. In case, it is shown as 01 to 99, it means there is a trace of a kind of printing format on the top of the tile. By now, 01 is applied on Mountain, Arian, and Epigraph.

The eighth, ninth and tenth columns of this system shown by letter (F) are taken to introduce the colors. It consists of three letters of the abbreviated name of colors. These colors based on their place on Alborz spectrum colors are shown by WHT as a group of white colors, TAN as a group of Bronze colors, PNK as group of Pink colors, BRN as a group of Brown colors, RED, ORG as the group of Orange&Red colors, YLW as the group of Yellow colors, GRN as the group of Green colors, BLU as the group of Blue colors, LVN as Lavender color, GRY as the group of Grey colors, and BLK as Black. The eleventh column is shown by (G), specifies the place of color in a group by digits from 1 to 9. As an example, WHT 2 introduces the second color in the white group.

The twelfth column shown by letter (H) indicates the tone differentiation of each color, it is very important to use colors with the same tonality in one area. Otherwise, the outcome will not be satisfactory.

The thirteenth column shown by letter (I) specifies the products grade as 1,2,3 and 4.

The fourteenth column shown by letter (J) gives information about the size of tiles after firing which is about 2mm.

Shown by (K), the fifteenth column concerns itself with packing system, “P” means groups of mosaics used by paper mesh, “F” means packing mosaics using nylon mesh, “S” means packing of 10X10 ceramic tiles in a group of 3X4 by silicon P.V.C dot mounting. If it is replaced by “T”, it means packing 10×10 ceramic tiles in a group of 3X3 pieces of tiles in each sheet. “U” indicates packing by using plain paper on the top especially 3X4 pieces of 10X10 ceramic tiles. If the no. of tiles decreases up to 3X3 pieces, it will be shown as “V”.

Shown by letter (L), the sixteenth up to twenty-first columns give the production date.

The last column shown as (M) represents production operator on that date.
